The Forum of Free Enterprise is a non-political organization founded in 1956 by A. D. Shroff, and has been established to educate public opinion in India on free enterprise and a democratic way of life. The Forum publishes booklets to further its objects. The following booklet is titled “Inflation and Economic Growth” authored by H. V. R. Iengar. It is an inaugural address by the author to the seminar on inflation by Institute of Financial Management Research, Madras. In this address the author has dealt with the specific situation faced by the country on the basis of general principles. He has made certain suggestions which are even relevant today.
