‘The Indian Libertarian’ was a fortnightly journal, founded in 1954 by Indian liberal, Ranchhoddas Bhuvan Lotwala, and edited by his daughter Kusum R Lotwala. This edition (Vol. 9, No. 19) of this journal was published on January1, 1962. The editorial covers the swift liberation of Goa from the centuries old colonial oppression of the Portuguese, and Red China barred from entry into the United Nations. “The Libertarian Pattern Of Society” by M.A. Venkata Rao talks about the things responsible for the unhealthy ascendancy of the Prime Minister over his colleagues in Cabinet. Then there is a comparison of liberatrian societies and totalitarian societies by the writer. “The Nehru-Menon Game” by M.N. Tholal discusses Menon’s masterpieces, anti-Indian conspiracy and the need for a firm step by India that would not lead to war. “Khrushchev’s Policy Of- Peaceful Co-extinction” by C. L. SULZBERGER talks about Khrushchev trying to frighten somebody with his ghastly superbombs but it is not clear who. “The Individual and The Indian Constitution” by A. Ranganathan talks about the Due Process Clauses of the Fifth and Fourteenth amendments to the American Constitution. “Russia Dictating Our· China Policy : Cat Out Of The Bag ” discusses communist leader’s revelation, corrupt Congress and how the need for unity saves Tara Singh.
