The Indian Libertarian’ was a fortnightly journal, founded in 1954 by Indian liberal, Ranchhoddas Bhuvan Lotwala, and edited by his daughter Kusum R Lotwala. This edition (Vol. 5, No. 12) of the journal was published on August 15, 1957 and has several articles discussing the 10th Independence Day of India. “Independence Day–Looking Before And After” by M.A. Venkata Rao focuses on the 10th National Independence and looking at pre and post development since the First Independence Day. “A Decade of Donated Freedom”  by J.K. Dhairyawan discusses that it is a misconception, that we achieved freedom through non-violence and Congress leaders have spread false propaganda to justify their policies based on so called “Panchasheela”. “1957” by B.S. Sanyal brings the Battle of Plassey in discussion to remind us that 10 years into independence and we are on the brink of losing it. “Independence- And After” by A. Ranganathan reminds what the constitution stands for and Encroachment on Individual Rights. “Communism, Capitalism or Co-operation” talks about communism, politicians and term middle class people as the backbone of productivity. “Profit-Shy Asians” by K.D. Valicha discusses Free Enterprise. “Integral Independence” by “Sudarshan” talks about where Socialists go wrong and capital, labour and management should retain the profit motive. At the end “Strategy & Vulpine Effluxion” by K.D. Valicha mentions the world’s situation in its political aspect.
