The Forum of Free Enterprise is a non-political organization founded in 1956 by A.D Shroff and was established to educate public opinion in India on free enterprise and a democratic way of life. The Forum publishes booklets to further its objects. The following booklet titled, “Black Money Menace in India: Time for Action” was published in 2009 and was authored by K.V.M Pai. The author focused on the subject of black money, which has proliferated as the continuous menace to India’s economic, social, and political areas. Despite the economic liberalization of 1991, the phenomenon of unaccounted money rages in. The author focused on India’s shameful position in the Swiss Bank Accounts as reported in the Swiss Bank Reports of 2006. The author emphasized the problems of tax evasion and how black money seeped in through the Indian scenarios. He further offered solutions to curtail the growing problem and also mentioned the government’s efforts in keeping a check for the same. And lastly, advocated for action from the administrative sector to resolve the growing problem.
