The Forum of Free Enterprise is a non-political organization founded in 1956 by A. D. Shroff and was established to educate public opinion in India on free enterprise and a democratic way of life. The Forum publishes booklets to further its objects. The following booklet titled, “Concentration Of Economic Power” was published on July 14, 1972 and was authored by D R Pendse. The booklet shows concern about the Concentration of Economic Power. The text also talks about the Monopolies and Restrictive Trade Practices Act and how one chapter from the act treats this problem very comprehensively. In addition to this, the author describes how industries had reacted to the provisions in this chapter and further discusses anti- concentration policies which place curbs on production of goods by the large organised producers and try to encourage the small scale and medium sector. The author sums up the booklet with his point of view on the topic.
