‘The Indian Libertarian’ was a fortnightly journal, founded in 1954 by Indian liberal, Ranchhoddas Bhuvan Lotwala, and edited by his daughter Kusum R Lotwala. This edition (Vol. 9, No. 8) of the journal was published on July 15, 1961. The editorial covers the rising secessionist tensions in Assam and local political developments in Kerala. M A Venkata Rao further addresses this issue of unity within the nation in ‘The Will To Be A Nation’. M N Tholal’s article is written in honour of the birth centenary of Madan Mohan Malviya. Addressing the failure of domestic and foreign policies with regards to the problem of political succession following Nehru, part 4 of S R Narayan Ayyar’s ‘The Prime Minister and The Future of The Country’ is published in this volume.
