‘The Indian Libertarian’ was a fortnightly journal, founded in 1954 by Indian liberal, Ranchhoddas Bhuvan Lotwala, and edited by his daughter Kusum R Lotwala. This edition (Vol. 6, No. 1) of the journal was published on March 15, 1958 including several articles. The editorial covers the Revolt of Sheikh Abdullah, his open advocacy of Pakistan and Indo Pan-American association in Bombay. “The Land Problem In Bombay State” by Bhailalbhai Patel talks about class war in villages, land ‘reforms’ and net results of ‘reforms’. “The Congress And The Farmer ” explains how collective farming is disliked by farmers, how Congress abandoned Gandhian economy Nehru’s attempt of convincing the public that Congress Socialism is not a carbon copy of Russian Socialism. “A Non-violent ‘Purge~ of the Sturdy Yeoman” by M.A. Venkata Rao discusses the confiscatory methods of progressive agriculture, the mobilization of the South and the right way to prevent exploitation of tenants. “Agonies Of Hindu Refugees And Pak Hatred” by K.D. Valicha talks about hindu civilization, exodus from east Pakistan and the rights of W. Pakistani refugees. “The Question Mark  In Pakistan” by George Leather discusses the legacy of partition. Further, there are various articles talking about puerile economics and sinister politics, libertarians and ownership, Soviet propaganda, Kerala’s Communist Party, Pakistanis in West Bengal, Cynicism in Pakistan, and the Islamic legacy in Pakistan. “Why Is U.S.A. Losing Russians?” by Reinhold Niebuhr explains the grim situation between Russia and the U.S.A, NATO Conference, Eisenhower & Dulles, and the lure of communism.
