The following booklet is titled “Bridging (Diminishing) The Digital Divide” was published on 16,Aug, 2002 and was authored by Dr.T.H Chowdhary. The author begins the text by drawing parallels between technology and prosperity and how they intersect from various spectrums. In the next segment Chowdhary explains digital divide and the various aspects of it like information & knowledge, electronification & digitisation, telecoms & information infrastructure, telephone & internet. The text elucidates all these pillars contributing to the infrastructure and social upliftment of the people struggling. The author also further goes on to explain that the “missing link” of the digital divide is backed by empirical data to support the thesis. By the end of the text, global apparatus comes into play to compare various countries and their takes on the said issue and how these countries particularly have grown.
