The Forum of Free Enterprise is a non-political organization founded in 1956 by A. D. Shroff, and has been established to educate public opinion in India on free enterprise and a democratic way of life. The Forum publishes booklets to further its objects. The following booklet is titled “A Strategy for Exports” and is derived from author Dr. R. L. Varshney’s separately published article and paper. In this booklet, the author has presented an empirical study of India’s exports and the related policies. Upon this, he further builds his analysis – the challenges faced by domestic industries and lastly presents his suggestion, the “strategy”. He also suggests a better relationship between the government and the industries.
