The second essay was authored by R Venkata Ramana Rao, and discusses the effect of land reform legislations on cooperative farming. He also draws parallels with foreign experiences with cooperative farming. He examines the various issues prevalent in the Indian context and concludes that cooperative or collective farming is not feasible in the country. The third essay is written by B P Patel who also argues that conditions in India are not suited to cooperative farming.
