The following booklet titled “Is Right to Property Not Fundamental?” was published on April 9, 1970. The booklet is divided into three main sections. The first section was authored by C K Daphtary, and it examines the origins and present legal status of the right to property in India. The second section was authored by A G Noorani and discusses the rising demands for removal of right to property from the list of Fundamental Rights, and the political context surrounding this issue. The third section was authored by A G Mulgaokar and examines the moral, social and economic considerations that surround the debate of including the right to property amongst Fundamental Rights.
