The fortnightly journal titled Indian Libertarian was founded in 1954 by Indian liberal, Ranchhoddas Bhuvan Lotwala, and edited by his daughter Kusum R Lotwala. The second May’57 edition was published amid the times of theocratic fanaticism and longing for world peace.  M.A Venkata Rao had emphasized this and hoped for a change in the stagnant Indian thought. The carving of the states of India and Pakistan resulted in the disruption of the stability and security of the then Indian continent, which led to the political bankruptcy of thought in Pakistan, as seen in the article by Vigilant. In, “India And Arab Nationalism,”, M.N Tholal had highlighted the UNSC vote against the foreign policies adopted by India that made the Arab States favor a Muslim state and perpetrate us as the aggressors. Following this, Kamal in the article titled, “More industrialists and less politicians,” had explained the importance of planning and having a free democracy. Several op-eds from famous newspapers were covered that focused on the cultural and political shift in India. The issue captured important news headlines that covered both nation and worldly stands. It concluded with book reviews that addressed the means of individualism in societies.
