The following booklet titled “The Union Budget 1981-82” was authored by N.A Palkhivala. The Budget keeps in mind various aspects of the economy like agriculture, industrial, gross national, inflation and even describes the psychological effect on those who suffered. The budget also makes changes and empathises with the ones that suffered and ths the author calls it “psychologically perfect”. The author has empirical as well as normative data to refer to the said budget as “politically clever, economically unsound and strategically a failure”. The author identifies major flaws in the budget and calls for amendments where the flaws have been done.
