The Forum of Free Enterprise is a non-political organization founded in 1956 by A. D. Shroff, and has been established to educate public opinion in India on free enterprise and a democratic way of life. The Forum publishes booklets to further its objects. The following booklet titled ‘Towards Greater Production and Productivity’ is a collection of outcomes of symposium organized by Forum of Free Enterprise and published in 1964. In his essay ‘Forms of Business organizations: Taxes, company law and other considerations, H.B. Dhondy talks about the different types of business organizations, their features, advantages, and drawbacks. ‘Ingredients of a successful personnel policy’ authored by B.S Kalsi discusses how staff should be recruited, trained, managed, and their payment of salaries. S.V Ghatalia discusses essential aspects of management, standard costing, and budget in his essay ‘Financial Management through Standard Costing’. In his essay ‘Elements of Modern Marketing’, Dr. F.S. Noorani elaborates about the stages of marketing like product, deciding the market and price, keeping and enlarging the market, etc. ‘Dr. R.M. Shah’ explains characteristics of good decisions along with examples and elaborates how to evaluate decisions in his essay ‘Problems in Decision Making’. T.V Lalvani, throws light on the concepts of industrial relations, industrial legislation, etc in his essay ‘Industrial Relations in India’. S.P Hatte highlights how materials can be managed and underlines the findings of different committees in his essay ‘Better Management of Materials’.
