The Forum of Free Enterprise is a non-political organization founded in 1956 by A.D Shroff and was established to educate public opinion in India on free enterprise and a democratic way of life. The Forum publishes booklets to further its objects. The following booklet titled, “Pluralism & Mixed Economy – A Basis for Centre-State Relations” was published in 1978 and was authored by V.K. Narasimhan. The author highlighted the significance of a free enterprise system as a fundamental impute of a democratic system. He further emphasized the conflict between the equalitarian desire of the stands of democracy and the growing inequality in an unregulated capitalist system. Mr. Narasimhan focused on the prevalence of preservation of a free society for the years to come.
