The following booklet is titled “Dimensions of Public Expenditure Management” was published on 20,June,,2002 and was authored by Dr. K. Venkataraman. The author begins by referring to the size and composition of public expenditure highlighting some facts for understanding the fiscal scene. Venkataraman also empirically puts forth the budget assigned to various areas in both the state and Central lists. The text also separates both the history as well as the ever changing scenario of the public welfare system due to the budget. The author states the role of democracy in the prognosis they draw and the function of several players in the positioning and welfare of the issue. Venkataraman keeps a brief section on raising awareness till the last man that shall consume and bear the costs of the said budget and that the publication should be taken into cognisance.
