The Forum of Free Enterprise is a non-political organization founded in 1956 by A. D. Shroff, and has been established to educate public opinion in India on free enterprise and a democratic way of life. The Forum publishes booklets to further its objects. The following booklet is titled “Joint Sector – Some issues”. Authored by Mr. Minoo Shroff, the text aims at discussing and highlighting certain issues concerned with the not so novel idea of the “joint sector”. The intent is not just discussing but also making contributions to the further development of the term and its implementation. The author discusses issues such as “Pricing”, “Research and Development”, “Accountability”, etc. He also indicates the limitations of the current text and provides a rough direction for further ideas on the said topic.
