The following booklet titled “Quotas and Reservations -Imperative of Affirmative Action” was published in May, 2006 authored by Justice Sujata Manohar (Retd.) (May, 29, 2006). The author explains various clauses related to reservations and quotas in the Indian Constitution and what their purpose is. The author states certain fundamental case studies due to which these reservation related laws came into play. And how they were seen when they appeared in front of the general citizens. The author draws parallel between the privileged and the underprivileged masses and even points out new stigmas which shall come into play for the receiving end.
