The Forum of Free Enterprise is a non-political organization founded in 1956 by A.D Shroff and was established to educate public opinion in India on free enterprise and a democratic way of life. The Forum publishes booklets to further its objects. The following booklet titled, “The case for Free Enterprise ” was published in 1970 and was authored by the founder himself. The author emphasized the creation of the forum as the means to educate public opinion about the grandeurs of Free enterprise and its capacity to contribute towards India’s economic development. He highlighted the reason for creating such an institution for enlisting the liberal framework among the people. He also stressed the malpractices raging amidst the existence of the free enterprise and the approach needed for a better path. Lastly, he focused on the realist path of attaining economic freedom and keeping the democratic spirit alive at the same time.
