The fortnightly journal titled Indian Libertarian was founded in 1954 by Indian liberal, Ranchhoddas Bhuvan Lotwala, and edited by his daughter Kusum R Lotwala. The first June ’62 edition was published amid the time of the prevalence of congress socialism. M. A. Paul L.Poirot in, “One Man’s Gain,” emphasized the law governing the survival of fittest and evolution of humans. The article titled, “Retiring President’s Admonition: Nehru.’s ·Saint” stressed the need for installing a spirit of democracy in people’s minds. This edition covered several op-eds that orated the prevalent scenarios in India then. The issue captured important news headlines covering both national and worldly stands. Lastly, it concluded with a book review on the book titled, “Prosperity through freedom.”
