The Forum of Free Enterprise is a non-political organization founded in 1956 by A. D. Shroff, and has been established to educate public opinion in India on free enterprise and a democratic way of life. The Forum publishes booklets to further its objects. The following booklet titled  ‘Management Development’ is authored by Dr. Surinder P.S. Pruthi and published in 1971. The author talks about the increasing business administration graduates, its impact on the institutions, and the problems faced by the young graduates. He elaborates on the impact of British on business education,  scope and importance of business education. He emphasizes giving equal importance to skills like problem finding, problem solving, and perceptual skills. He highlights the criticism faced by business graduates and recommends them to develop their own managerial style, take action and accept responsibility, apprenticeship, refusal to hang on a stagnating job, keep on learning, tolerate ambiguity, hardwork and sacrifice. He focuses on the potential of businesses in India and proposes reforms like systematic training, flexible salary structure, and increased exposure for managers.
