The Forum of Free Enterprise is a non-political organization founded in 1956 by A. D. Shroff, and has been established to educate public opinion in India on free enterprise and a democratic way of life. The Forum publishes booklets to further its objects. The following booklet is titled “Free Enterprise in India – A Call for Leadership”. It is derived from A. D. Shroff’s public lecture, the address is extremely illuminating and is relevant for the modern times as well, where the country’s primary problem is not the growth of big businesses but of big governments, governments that possess the power to regulate every aspect of the individual and the business, taking away their freedom and pushing them into impoverishment.
