The Forum of Free Enterprise is a non-political organization founded in 1956 by A. D. Shroff, and has been established to educate public opinion in India on free enterprise and a democratic way of life. The Forum publishes booklets to further its objects. The following booklet titled ‘Promoting Export and Scientific Marketing’ is authored by S.P Godrej, Y.A. Fazalbhoy, and M. Mathias and published in 1970. In his talk ‘Some steps for export promotion’, S.P. Godrej emphasizes the importance of free market economy for success in exports and suggests measures like publicity, marketing research, training, etc to increase exports . Y.A. Fazalbhoy talks about the importance of exports and India’s slow growth rate of exports in his lecture ‘A strategy for export promotion’. He advocates for diversification in exports, focus on non-traditional items, market surveys, and fresh investment in export enteric industries. In his talk ‘Scientific marketing’, M. Mathias highlights the significance of mass communication, consumer-oriented business, marketing research, and understanding consumers.
