The Forum of Free Enterprise is a non-political organization founded in 1956 by A. D. Shroff and was established to educate public opinion in India on free enterprise and a democratic way of life. The Forum publishes booklets to further its objects. The following booklet titled, “Puzzles And Clues” was published in 1957 and was authored by M. A. Sreenivasan. The author refers to the tenth year of independence as a year of hardship and disenchantment and talks about the unhappy condition of affairs that was the result of the fanciful thinking by the majority of the men in charge of the country’s destiny. The text covers causes of confusion and uncertainty and talks about the intoxication of power in the country. Further there are suggestions for the government to remove the state of confusion from the country.
