The following booklet is titled “The Liberal Budget 2006-07 -Right Choices, Tough Decisions” was published during 2006-07. The text starts by elucidating an overview of the budget which includes, better lifestyle for all especially rural India, no starvation, no suicides due to debts, better medical sector standards, better education, world class-infrastructure and finally the goal of becoming a global-economic power. The budget brings in light the highlights of evaluated economic reforms which have to take place in the following sectors, namely, domestic sector, external sector, the unfinished agenda which works on a larger premise of globalisation and India’s relations with other countries especially economic. It also elucidates the current impasse of those from the ‘Left Parties’ and the centre which is inclined towards the left as well as a list of principles both have laid out. The text retrospects the Central Budget of 2005-06 and brings in light the lacunas which have scope of amendment and how. In the end, the text has a strategic framework set for progressing in the right field and looms very promising as it encompasses the good clauses from the previous budgets also.
