‘The Indian Libertarian’ was a fortnightly journal, founded in 1954 by Indian liberal, Ranchhoddas Bhuvan Lotwala, and edited by his daughter Kusum R Lotwala. This edition (Vol. 7, No. 10) of the journal was published on June 15, 1959. The editorial covers the political crisis in Kerala. Several op-eds address economic issues that concern the country, such as ‘Real Crisis In The Country Is The Crisis Of Faith’ by Acharya Kripalani, ‘Agrarian Reform: A Giant Deception’ by T L Kantam, and ‘The Economics of Food and Population in India’ by A Ranganathan. Other issues covered in this edition include the threat of communism and the case of Tibet, stifling of free press, and a tribute to John Foster Dulles. This edition also includes news reports, a section on letters to the editor and book reviews.
