‘The Indian Libertarian’ was a fortnightly journal, founded in 1954 by Indian liberal, Ranchhoddas Bhuvan Lotwala, and edited by his daughter Kusum R Lotwala. This edition (Vol. 9, No. 5) of the journal was published on June 1, 1961. The editorial covers developments in Laos, US-Cuba relations and India’s border conflicts with China. Following the birth centenary of Rabindranath Tagore on May 8, 1961, M A Venkata Rao has written a commemorative piece called ‘Rabindranath Tagore and Humanism’. M N Tholal pays homage to the former Congress President in his article ‘Motilal Nehru’.
