Quest’s contributor note in No. 25 (April/June 1960), p. 103 reads:

JIBANANANDA DAS’s deservedly famous poem ‘Banalata Sen’ has been translated before. This translation is by another important Indo-Anglian poet, P. Lal, who teaches English literature at a Calcutta college.
