The Forum of Free Enterprise is a non-political organization founded in 1956 by A.D Shroff and was established to educate public opinion in India on free enterprise and a democratic way of life. The Forum publishes booklets to further its objects. The following booklet titled, “Is There A Middle Way” was published in 1995 and was authored by F.A Mehta. The author questioned the existence of a middle road between price mechanism and planning, efficiency, and equity. He took up the aspect of Free enterprise and the essence of power it can create in a country for stimulating progress. The author also highlighted the creation of a market economy for increasing national productivity. He further provided instances of economic warfare through the approach of the middle path. And lastly hoped for a combination of growth and entrepreneurial wealth.
