M. P. Rege has recently come out with a candid critique of the late B. S. Mardhekar’s aesthetic theories.

M. P. REGE is Vice-Principal and Professor of Philosophy at D. E. Society’s Kirti College, Bombay. The paper printed here was prepared for the Seminar on The Indian Tradition and Its Significance for Cultural Freedom convened by the Indian Committee for Cultural Freedom in August 1964.
