Buddhadeva Bose contributed to Quest, the journal of ideas sponsored by the Indian Committee for Cultural Freedom, appearing in 7 issues of the archive’s run (Vol. I No. 2 (October-November 1955) to No. 51 (OCT./DEC. 1966 (front cover dates the issue ‘autumn 1966’)).

Quest’s contributor note in Vol. I No. 2 (October-November 1955), p. 72 reads:

Buddhadeva Bose edits Kavita, a magazine of Bengali verse. He writes poetry both in English and in Bengali and has also published a number of short stories.

Quest’s contributor note in No. 18 (July-September 1958), p. 91 reads:

Buddhadeva Bose, Head of the Department of Comparative Literature, Jadavpur University, poet, novelist, short story writer, critic and essayist-is a major figure in Bengali letters. He has been editing the standard poetry quarterly in Bengali (Kavita) for the last twenty years.
