Daya Krishna

Daya Krishna contributed to Quest, the journal of ideas sponsored by the Indian Committee for Cultural Freedom, appearing in 8 issues of the archive’s run (Vol. I No. 6 (June-July 1956) to No. 51 (OCT./DEC. 1966 (front cover dates the issue ‘autumn 1966’)).

Quest’s contributor note in Vol. I No. 6 (June-July 1956), p. 73 reads:

Daya Krishna (Delhi) recently published his dissertation on The Nature of Philosophy for which the University of Delhi awarded him a doctorate. His articles have appeared or are shortly to appear in Philosophy and Phenomenological Research, The Philosophical Review, Ethics, The Journal of Religion and The Journal of Philosophy (U.S.A.), Mind, The Review of Economic Studies, Diogenes (France), Revue Internationale de Philosophi (Belguim), Studium Generale (West Germany), The Eastern Economist, Commerce and Thought (Delhi). A recent article of his on Marxist Economics has aroused international comment and is being translated into French, German, Italian, Spanish and Arabic.

Quest’s contributor note in No. 17 (April - June 1958), p. 95 reads:

Day a Krishna teaches Philosophy at the University of Saugor. His articles have appeared in some of the best philosophical and sociological journals of Europe and America. Author of The Nature of Philosophy.
