Nissim Ezekiel

Nissim Ezekiel contributed to Quest, the journal of ideas sponsored by the Indian Committee for Cultural Freedom, appearing in 39 issues of the archive’s run (Vol. I No. 1 (August 1955) to No. 51 (OCT./DEC. 1966 (front cover dates the issue ‘autumn 1966’)).

Quest’s contributor note in No. 20 (January-March 1959), p. 106 reads:

Nissim Ezekiel, Ex-editor of Quest; two of his collections of poems have already been published, contributes to a number of periodicals and journals.

Quest’s contributor note in No. 21 (April-June 1959), p. 105 reads:

NISSIM EZEKIEL has just published a volume of verse called The Third. Apart from its several poetical meanings, the name carries the prose meaning that this is his third publication; his two previous ones being A Time to Change and Sixty Poems.
