Nirad C. Chaudhuri contributed to Quest, the journal of ideas sponsored by the Indian Committee for Cultural Freedom, appearing in 39 issues of the archive’s run (Vol. II No. 1 (August-September 1956) to No. 47 (OCT./DEC. 1965)).

Quest’s contributor note in Vol. II No. 6 (June-July ‘57), p. 48 reads:

Nirad C. Chaudhuri, one of our veteran Indo-Anglian writers, and an advisory editor of QUEST, is the author of The Autobiography of an Unknown Indian.

Quest’s contributor note in No. 45 (APRIL/JUNE 1965 (contents page); cover reads ‘quest 45 … spring 1965’, rupee 1.25), p. 114 reads:

NIRAD C. CHAUDHURI is the widely known author of Autobiography of an Unknown Indian and A Passage to England. The first volume of his comprehensive new book entitled De Rerum Indicarum Natura will be shortly published by Chatto and Windus.
